Project: Apartment on Frunzenskaya
Total area: 176 sq. meters
Location: 50 Frunzenskaya Embankment
To create an apartment project design for a bachelor keen on opera music.
While working out the space and positioning solutions and the design project itself we embarked on listening to opera to find inspiration which then stretched to discovering its origins. This whole project was born from our creativity, while executing it; we got inspired by music and the personality of our customer to finally fall in love with opera.
Exquisite home decoration materials and textile were used to develop the interior. Marble six-sided floors combining two types of stone. Walls were decorated with cipollino slabs and painted so as to fit the style while the living area was covered with massive wooden floors made by Ebonyandco company.
A lot of bras and copper was used for the interior. 40% of furniture was purchased in antique boutiques of Paris and New York. Our favourite is a red Spanish leather theatre bench of the 19th century, which turned into a starting point of creating the living room image. Looking for art pieces to add wit and humour to the interior turned into our favourite part of the project. We used copies of George Condo, one of our most beloved painters.
